CONGRATULATIONS - Niagara On The Lake U13 Girls - ONTARIO CUP CHAMPIONS 2016
The Niagara Soccer Association and Board Members would like to congratulation these girls for a great win against Windsor Eastside Kickers.

The U-13 Girls Ontario Cup Final, presented by Room Roster, was
contested by the Windsor Eastside Kickers and the Niagara-on-the-Lake
Rangers. Both squads were dominant in the lead up to the final, running
through many of their opponents with decisive victories. The final would
be a nail-bitter though as these two evenly match teams went back and
forth with chances. Niagara got things going early when a shot by Sheridan Peters caused
havoc for Windsor and Maia MacLean jumped on the rebound to make it 1-0
for the Rangers.
Despite numerous chances by both sides, the first half ended with just the one marker to show for their collective efforts. The weather played a factor throughout the game, as heavy rains and
whipping winds made it difficult to string numerous passes together. The
two teams soldiered on despite the issues but it made them play a more
direct style of game as time wore on. That direct style led to a Windsor opportunity but it was Niagara’s
Reanna Beaudoin’s time to stand tall as she made a diving effort to keep
the game locked at 1-0.
With just three minutes remaining Niagara's Arianna Zumpano made a
fanstastic individual effort, beating several defenders and before
falling to the ground, blasted a shot into the top of the net making it
2-0. That would be all they needed as Niagara closed the door the rest of
the way and captured the U-13 Girls Ontario Cup championship.
